For a new Otogram: A new Otogram
comes with an Otovest which houses the calibrated transducers
(earphone inserts, ambient noise microphone, and bone vibrator)
as well as the most recent version of the Otogram’s
software. The Otogram is calibrated to meet ANSI S3.6 and
all other applicable specifications.
The Otogram requires annual calibration
after the first year of service. Tympany provides this service for a fee. Upon receipt of the annual calibration
fee, Tympany will arrange for shipment of the Otogram for
calibration and updates. Details of this vary somewhat
by model.
Periodically the customer may also receive an update CDROM
disk that will provide updates to the Otogram’s software.
These updates can be installed by merely putting the CDROM
in the CDROM drive and closing the door. The
Otogram will then install the new updates
This simple maintenance keeps the Otogram up-to-date with
the newest technology in hearing testing for many years
of smooth operation
